On the 15th July, I travelled to northern Uganda with 12 other students and our team leader, Ken Matthews, a pastor from the Forest of Dean. Over the past 12 years, Ken and Sue Matthews from Life Bridging Works have been taking groups from the UK to serve in northern Uganda and to experience a culture very different from our own. Some have been to perform specialist roles such as health visitor training, building schools and training leaders. Others have just been to provide a brief but hands-on experience of life in another country. Over the two weeks, we were busy working with children in local villages and towns, meeting families and visiting health clinics. In this short report, I will be sharing my thoughts and what I have learned during my visit.
