The Tockington Triathlon race was based at Tockington Manor School just north of Bristol City and our team took part to raise money for the Triangle Project.
Andrew, our Minister, was accompanied by several friends and they started early, having to be at the school's swimming pool by 8:00am to swim 400m. The next challenge was a 21km long cycling course along rural roads. The final part of the triathlon was a 5 km run. As you may imagine it involved a lot of hard training for several months and Andrew was often seen around town on his bike, sporting Bradley Wiggins-style sideburns.
The Triangle Project is based in Kenya and has been running for 12 years. Andrew visited the project in February 2012 the full account of the visit is on the Triangle Project page.
