Encounter is a worshipping community that meets on the first Thursday of the month in Chepstow Methodist Church Hall. You are very welcome!

Doors open at 7.15 p.m., with a café, and we finish by 9 p.m.

It is a down to earth, informal and hospitable place.  We like to think and talk about things that matter to us.  We are open to change, to new ideas and to input from everyone who comes along.


Meditation, movies and multi-sensory worship are often part of what we do.  We won't assume those who attend have any particular beliefs - but we hope we will all challenge each other to think about what we do believe.

Once a term, in December, around Easter and in the summer, the usual Encounter gathering joins in with a larger worship event that we organise in the main church. For details of these, keep an eye on this website or the church notice sheet.
