| About the Church | |
| Chepstow Methodist Church is a thriving Christian community where all ages are catered for, from babes in arms to the elderly and housebound. Worship is varied, there is a traditional 9 am service and a more lively 10.30 am service each Sunday and occasional 6 pm services. The children join with the rest of the congregation at the start of the 10.30 am service and the sense of being "God's family together" is reinforced. Coffee is served after 10.30 am Morning Worship. This is an ideal time to share fellowship together and a friendly welcome is given to visitors and newcomers. There is a short Thursday lunchtime service at 12 noon. Midweek activities and outreach into the neighbourhood means that the church is involved with the community and seeks to serve in the name of Christ. The Church publishes its own magazine "Envoy" quarterly and is distributed free to all members. There is also a bookstall selling a good mix of Christian literature and greetings cards. The Traidcraft stall is open whenever there is access to the premises, selling a selection of dried food, gifts and other items in aid of Christian Aid. The church premises are well used by the local people, providing a valuable local resource - within our walls you can learn to lip read, paint, make music, learn maths, lose weight and much more. The church is often open all day, so if you are ever visiting Chepstow, please come and visit us. We will be delighted to meet you. | |
